BRUSSELS — As the European Union gears up to implement retaliatory tariffs against the United States in response to new U.S. duties on EU steel and aluminium exports, the motorcycle industry has intensified its lobbying efforts to spare motorbikes from the escalating trade dispute. The European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (ACEM) has called on the EU to exclude motorcycles from the list of targeted U.S. imports, arguing that the sector should not become collateral damage in a broader trade conflict.
